Below: The stage at Anderson...LuLu had the pleasure of booking the ''resurrection" of this stage in 2015 with the return of the sound of music for only 5 years before the covid pandemic shut everything down. Unfortunately this stage will remain as is with no further festivals planned.

The end of an era, and the beginning of a new one... Talkeetna Bluegrass and Music Festival sadly came to an end in 2011, after 30 long and wonderful years of music and memories. Those of us who participated, played and worked for many years are still feeling an emptiness that cannot be described. We will all still find ourselves seeking that ultimate fulfillment that first weekend of August every year, but without TBMF, it will not be the 'same' anymore, and we will have only our memories...Thank you Dirty Ernie for the love of our music, the joy of performing it, and the privalege of being your friend of well over 30 years!!!

Below is another thing of the "past" ... the Forks Roadhouse burned down on Wed. night 4/4/2012. It is so sad to see another part of history go up in smoke...thankfully there are plenty of memories and pictures!!!

Miss LuLu & Miz Merley at Palmer's Colony Days 2011....my first gig back on my feet!!! Had to sit down a bit after a while, but it felt great to STAND TALL AGAIN!!!

Simply because it was custom made for me as a gift from Chaz Oakley the "Yo Spray Me" artist....a hand carved Eagle, and signed by just about everyone (on the back ONLY) at the final Talkeetna festival. Presented to me by my sister-girlfriend, Lynn "Hooker" Moore.
